About the Role: Software Sales Executive

Reporting to the VP, Application Sales and Client Services, the Sales Executive is responsible for customer accounts that reside in Eastern Canada (which includes Ontario, Quebec, and the Maritime provinces) and select USA based accounts.   This Sales Executive will have a prime territory of current named customers in Eastern Canada.  As well, this individual may be assigned new prospects looking to acquire Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software.

This role requires the individual to manage the customer relationship, manage C-Level relationships, before the sale, during, and after.  The ideal candidate should have some experience or aspire to enter into an Enterprise Sales career and be comfortable managing long and complex sales opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • As part of this role, Territory Management will require continued relationship management of the customer throughout the sales process and after. Opportunities may arise over the course of a project for other products and services and therefore, continual customer contact is a must.
  • Territory Management – build a territory plan and strategy that includes building relationships with key executives in your assigned customer base and keeping those relationships strong.
  • Must be organized, able to juggle multiple opportunities at any time and to develop account strategies.
  • As this is a field sales role, the individual must welcome the opportunity to meet customers and develop relationships.
  • Mid-Range has a number of strategic partnerships and this individual will need to develop, build, and nurture these strategic relationships to generate additional sales and opportunities.
  • Delivery of a monthly forecast, pipeline, updates of key opportunities and status to your direct manager (VP, Application Sales and Client Services) is required.
  • Candidate must have the ability to do some limited travel over the course of the year (including the USA) is a must.
  • Attendance at customer user conferences when required and as needed.
  • The ideal candidate must also be able to work on RFP submissions when required and coordinate estimating activities to ensure these RFP responses are completed with the highest quality, timely, and professionally.
  • Update CRM for all sales opportunities in your customer base. Including but not limited to ensuring that all contacts, phone numbers, and email addresses are up to date.
  • Continually enhancing your knowledge of all services, applications and consultant skills is a must.
  • From time to time, may be required to take an Oracle Sales Certification test to maintain our approved partner status.
  • Developing knowledge of the competitive landscape, and knowing the strengths and weaknesses of your competitors is important to the success of this role.
  • Undertake other duties as directed by the VP, Application Sales and Client Services or someone appointed by him.

Qualification-Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience:

  • Post Secondary education in either business or IT is an asset.
  • Previous enterprise solution selling experience would be an asset, which entails; enterprise software sales, consulting services, 3rd party applications, managed services or cloud, or mobile-based applications.

We offer a very attractive compensation package that includes a highly competitive base salary and a strong commission structure that will allow a strong candidate to achieve a total compensation of $200,000+.  In addition, there is no cap on commissions, including a benefits plan that includes a flexible work schedule, coverage for cell phone usage, and mileage reimbursement.
